What to Expect from a Workplace Assessment
Our assessments are conducted online and typically last between 1.5 to 3 hours. During this time, a specialist assessor will:
- Speak privately with the employee in a quiet space
- Review the employee’s working environment and job role
- Explore how hearing loss or related conditions affect daily tasks
- Identify any challenges or barriers in the workplace
- Discuss potential solutions and reasonable adjustments
We encourage individuals to share any relevant information, such as audiograms or hearing aid details – though this isn’t essential, it will be helpful for the assessor.
What Happens Next?
Following the assessment, you’ll receive a detailed report outlining practical recommendations to take to your employer. These may include:
- Adjustments to the working environment or schedule
- Assistive technology and training
- Deaf awareness training for colleagues
- Other tailored support to enhance communication and inclusion
