This four-step programme aims to get Deaf people into meaningful employment. Clarion UK will prepare, facilitate, secure and support, ensuring each individual has what they need to enter sustained employment.
Our fully trained Communication Employment Consultants (CEC’s) work with each individual on a one-to-one basis, they will run through their CV and previous work experience as well as helping each individual with interview skills. Preparation also gives individuals the practical skills needed to secure meaningful employment.
At this stage, we work with the individual to help them find positions that appeal to them and also help with applications. We always aim to find each individual a job they will enjoy within an organisation that understands their needs, this helps to reduce the risk of isolation in the workplace.
Seeing an individual secure a job is always a great feeling we work with them to ensure that they will enjoy the position and find their work meaningful. Helping to find a position they will stay in for a good length of time.
In-work support can be funded by the government’s Access To Work Scheme and aims to provide the individual with the support they need to thrive within the working environment. We can provide BSL Interpreters for meetings and appraisals as well as Deaf Awareness Training and Workplace Assessments to ensure that every individual has the support they need.
