Mother of the Bride thanks Clarion for Interpreter at Wedding
Here at Clarion, we had the pleasure of providing a BSL interpreter for the bride’s grandparents at Mr & Mrs Ponting’s wedding. Please read the lovely comments about the day from the Mother of the Bride:
“We had never heard of a Community Chest before so when I contacted Clarion asking for urgent help, we were very moved that they offered to provide an Interpreter, at extremely short notice, for our daughter’s wedding. My parents are profoundly deaf and there are only the four of us in my family who are able to communicate with them through sign language (being their children). Although they can lip read, I wanted them to be more involved in the wedding and Clarion’s interpreter, Rebecca, certainly assisted with that. She was fantastic. I was only able to meet with her briefly as the day was very busy for me.. but my parents tell me she was amazing.
The timings of the wedding and the meal were not as I expected but Rebecca was able to stay and we are so pleased she did; although she stayed in the background I understand she mingled very well with the wedding party and guests, and when there was a section of the best man’s speech that was rather.. well, let’s say her interpretation of the best man’s speech was spot on! Thank you Clarion, and thank you Rebecca!”

Congratulations from everyone at Clarion to Mr and Mrs Ponting. If you need an interpreter for an event, please contact us.
