Clarion UK exhibited at DeafEXPO 2026, held at the NEC in Birmingham, across the 15th and 16th May.

DeafEXPO is one of the leading events created specifically for Deaf, Deafblind and Hard of Hearing visitors. Over two days, it brought together over 4000 exhibitors spanning technology, health and wellbeing, education and support services and offered visitors a single place to explore what’s available to them. For us, it was a valued opportunity to meet the communities and organisations we work alongside in person.

Our team, Hannah Beadsworth, Paula Hall and Kelly Ashford, were on the stand throughout. They spoke with visitors about their non-spoken language and learning support requirements, and how Clarion UK can help meet them. Some arrived with a specific need in mind; others simply wanted to learn more about who we are and what we offer. In both cases, those conversations were the most rewarding part of the event.

Across the two days, the team discussed the full range of our services including BSL interpreting, Deaf Relay Interpreting, Lipspeaking, Speech-to-Text Reporting and Notetaking, alongside the learning support we provide for students in further and higher education. Every organisation’s needs are different, and events like DeafEXPO are a useful reminder that understanding them begins with listening.
